I am not going to lie.
I was nervous today.

It’s a huge challenge to pull off a “newborn” shoot at 7 weeks old, but when I met mom and dad, met baby “S,” and accessed her overall demeanor…I knew we were just fine (and she even had a cranky day according to Mommy).

She was just perfect and SUCH a good girl. For most of her session she was bright eyed and bushy tailed (or her eyes were half open trying to make sure she didn’t miss anything)…but she fell asleep as we were wrapping up, which allowed for some great variety in shots! Check out the adorable doll bed her grandmother put together. I had to try and work that in somehow. She looks like a little baby doll lying there!

What a wonderful , sweet, new family. Enjoy your sneak…it was fun hanging out with you guys this morning!

My son.
He’s on this photo blog sporadically for two reasons really.
He’s not a “fan” of the ol’ camera (ie–looks down not at me).
His sister knows how to work the camera pretty well.
Poor little man. I feel like he gets neglected in the picture dept.
So….while big sis was at school, we had some fun….and BOY did he make me work.
He’s fast, he’s curious, and it was bright and sunny! It certainly is an eye opener chasing him around by myself for a half hour and trying to get a good shot at the same time!

I am happy to have some nice cute pictures of him though, and of course want to share them with you too!
He is growing up so fast.
He’s almost 17 months and sweet as can be. Really. Just a doll.

{Say….Sassy!!!} Harford County, Maryland Child Portrait Photographer

I giggle as I write that title because Miss “A” was soooo sassy today, and that is just not the little gal I am used to! It was great, and my camera LOVED her. Look at the adorable dimples on her cheeks when she smiles. They aren’t your standard “holes in the cheeks” dimples, they are these little tiny lines on her cheeks –and they just make me MELT.

“A” is a longtime friend of my daughters (yep—a whole 3 years–they go waaaay back since birth), and I photographed her last year (take a peek here). She was super shy and guarded last year, and my what a difference a year makes! How stinking cute is she (well, she was always cute—it’s just this year she knew how to work it!)? In that middle picture, I actually told her, “Say ‘I’m sassy!!,’ and she happily did!

Her mom is so pretty too. I love this shot of the two of them.

I am having such fun processing these wonderful images, it is KILLING me to only post 2 (yep–another mini session), so I am posting 4 anyway and being a bad. Even that was super hard!!

Thanks guys! I love photographing my little friends and their fams. I am so glad Daddy tagged along this year. Can’t wait to put together an awesome holiday card for you.
