{Sweet Miracle for New Years} Harford County, Maryland Newborn Baby Photographer

Posted on December 31, 2009

Look at this sweet face. Angelic, right? Good luck ever saying no to this guy!

What a story behind this little one’s beginning.
This is a family that has been through the ultimate challenge…losing dad.
I had the priviledge to photograph his new son today, and my oh my, he was gorgeous.

Mom is an amazing and kind woman with tons of memories and stories to share with everyone (I really enjoyed them), and big brother was excited and pack full of energy after a fun visit from Santa! Lots of family was in and out…aunts, grandparents, cousins…just the way it should be.

Baby brother “H” was a just a doll. He didn’t want to sleep at first (I am certain that babies know when it is their photo debut), but he finally gave in and we got some terrific shots. There was no crying, he just didn’t want to miss out on any action! :)

Look at those lips! What a pout….they come from Mommy’s side!

Before I left, we were chatting about how babies bring such a sense of “blessing” into a family. Each one is truly a tiny, sweet miracle that is “life.”

I am so happy for you guys, and thanks for letting me share in H’s arrival!
Last newborn of 2009….great note to end on! ;)

{Winter Sessions!} Harford County, Maryland Portrait Photographer

Posted on December 29, 2009

Time to bust out the seamless background for gool old’ indoor sessions. I have to admit–I was never a HUGE fan of this, but I really had fun today playing around with my kids! There’s still plenty of room to be creative and capture their little personalities…especially Miss 3 going on 13. Oy!

I am always up for taking pictures indoors where there is plenty of natural light–but in some cases the background in a home where that “beautiful” light is, isn’t necessairly portrait material. Enter the roll of paper!

Just some sampling of what can be done!

I am booking now for winter sessions, and already have quite a few spring sessions already on the books.

And as always…newborn sessions please contact me asap. I like to have a “rough” due date on the calendar and come out to see you during those first two weeks! :)

I have a brand new little guy tomorrow, but for now–enjoy some silly shots of the kiddos!

{I’ll be home for Christmas} Baltimore County, Maryland Newborn Photographer

Posted on December 24, 2009

Blessings aplenty with this family.

A healthy new baby boy–check.
A handsome and helpful big brother–check.
A happy Mommy–check.
A Daddy home for the holidays–check.

Daddy is in the Navy, and is home for three weeks before he has to ship out again in January. What a wonderful family moment to come home to. I don’t think it gets any better than this!

I got the awesome job to capture these very special moments for this awesome family.
So many favorites, it was hard to choose, and I kind of went nuts with the sneak peek!

These pictures were done at the Mom’s parents home, and they had a spectacular, huge “sunroom” that was decorated all in pink and green! It was gorgeous.

Thanks for having me over….Merry Christmas!

{Let it snow…}

Nothing better than getting snowed in with your family….

I’d like to say my kids are lovingly watching snowflakes fall from the sky…but really Daddy just whipped out the snowblower.
