{He’s Here!!!} Harford County, Maryland Newborn Photographer

Yes….I said HE!! A boy cousin for Jax….Baby Mason was born last week. We couldn’t be more thrilled….I have a neice AND now a nephew. :)

What a sweetie. Basically, anyone that knows my in laws personally will hands down agree that Ella is a carbon copy of Mommy, and it looks like Mason is pretty much a mini Daddy already. Only fair, right?

It seems like it was just yesterday (well, it was exactly two weeks ago) that I took these pics of Ella and Mommy’s belly, and now, here he is….in the flesh!!

Congratulations, we love you all so much, and I feel so honored to capture this special time for Ella.
Enjoy–pic overlaod, but it’s my family–so I can!!!

So handsome…

{Bubble Bath!}

Posted on February 23, 2010

My daughter had her first BIG bubble bath last night…kind of by accident. I am very blessed with an extremely tidy husband–and after cleaning the bathroom yesterday (I know…like I said–I’m blessed!!) he kindly asked me to use the jets in our whirlpool bath once a week so they didn’t get clogged with dirt. Nuff said!

So during her bath, I oblidged! At first she was apprehensive–they’re loud and pretty forceful….but once the bubbles erupted and grew–the fun began!

Some cute shots because I couldn’t resist! Poor gal…..

L” is my dear friends “baby.” I put that in quotes because she’s turning one next month!! Are you still considered a baby then–or a toddler? And she toddles, oh does she toddler–already walking!!

Her baptism is this weekend and Mommy just wanted a few shots of her in the dress and bonnet before the big day. This Christening gown was made from her wedding dress, so you can imagine the sentiment she’s feeling….

I adore her big blue eyes and sweet little demeanor. Just the sweetest girl!!
Love ya!
xoxo
God bless you!!

{Cute Little Carrot Top!} Southern Pennsylvania Newborn Photographer

I have photographed a bunch of babies over these past 6 months, and little “S” is the first one to actually have RED hair!! Isn’t it gorgeous?? I’ve had some stawberry blondes, but processing these pictures–his hair really is red!! Mommy said it runs in her family, so that explains it! Adorable…

What a fun day I got to spend with a wonderful new mom (here she is at 39 weeks) and her son, all of 13 days old. We thought we were lucking out in the beginning of the session…he was sleeping like a champ!! He wised up though, and decided to see what we were up too.

I did tell Mom that “S” won the award for most “tinkle” during a session, and most soiled blankets! He managed to get all of them (and I have a lot of blankets)! Well done!

On a side note–what a relief for a nursing mom to see–he’s certainly getting enough! :)

Anyway, enjoy the sneak and thank you again so much.
I had a blast today!!

I usually love to process these poses on the black in black and white–but this is where his hair REALLY stood out!!

{Change in Bloom} Harford County, Maryland Maternity Portrait Photographer

Posted on February 14, 2010

Ahhhh…big change in the air for the Parks family! Another baby is on the way in less than a month.
No, not me!

This is my sister in law. We are married to brothers, and I am lucky enough to say she is my very good friend too.
My daughter and their daughter are only 9 months apart, and I love that we can get together lots and watch the kids grow up together.

Now, the first time around they found out they were having a girl. This time–they are having a SUPRISE! I love that. I didn’t find out either time I was pregant (yes, I know–there are 2 types of people in the world, those that find out, and those that don’t), but I am shocked that they are not because my sis-in-law is a big planner! I am happy they aren’t though, as I love a good suprise baby (and I have hand me downs for them either way)!

When she asked me to pop over today and grab some belly shots and shots with little “E,” I was excited. I can remember this feeling all too well. Really, it’s like it was yesterday. Before Jax was born, I had supreme Mama anxiety over changing Marlie’s life. I loved us just the way we were, but I knew we’d all love this new baby like crazy. I soaked in every second with her at the end of the pregnancy with Jax like it was my job, knowing we would truly never have THIS again. And we don’t have THAT anymore, ….but we have something better now.

I am so blessed to be able to snap this moment in time for my neice–and for Mommy. You can’t get it back, and you really never want to, but it’s nice to always remember it.

So we went over for a yummy Valentine’s Day breakfast complete with heart shaped Jello, and we celebrated family LOVE!
Love you! Can’t wait until Baby Parks makes their way into this world.

Pretty Mommy….
