Yay for another sweet newborn of 2009 turning one!  Definitley becoming my favorite of sessions. I saw Miss E three times over the past year, and I think she got sweeter with each session.  Her big brother tagged along each time, and he grew up before my eyes as well! I am adoring the sweet shot of them together holding hands.  I know all too well how difficult moments like that are to steal and freeze, so I relish in the capture! ;)

Loved the location, the light, the evening, and the gal. She didn’t dissapoint…she and the camera were fast friends, as you can see. It loved her, and am always impressed when a one year old can “hang” for an evening session and bathe in that gorgeous sunset light.

Anyway, enjoy. I feel elated and sad all at the same time. Seeing these little ones more than once a year is a gift.  I hope Mom and Dad will still let me get my fix at least once a year from here on out…

If you think little E’s as adorable as I do, leave her some blog love.  Her family gets a 5×7 gift print if they can muster up 15 comments right here (after the pics)! THANKS!

Happy 1st birthday lovely Miss E!

Like I sad…what a cute little cupcake…

I know what you are thinking. That was 4 pictures up there, I am supposed to be done (my new resolution). This doesn’t count you see–it HAS to be on the blog. We need to see a comparison of each session this year, right? :)

Wow…a year makes a big difference!

{Cutie Pie!} Harford, Maryland Custom Child Portrait Photographer

Another gorgeous day in Maryland! Still loving it….and loving another adorable repeat client, little Miss N.
I photographed her for the first time a little over 3 months ago and I was so excited when her mom contacted me after her first session for another mini session for N’s 1 year portraits.

She was a bit apprehensive the first time around back in May, but this session she shined! Of course she was equally as cute and photogenic both times, but she definitely gave me a lot of great eye contact at this mini session. She was so curious–about ME, and about everything around her. It is always sweet to watch the little one year olds just take in the world around them….literally. N definitley wanted to munch on some rocks and leaves-lol!

Anyway, thanks again for a great session. I LOVE, LOVE watching these munchkins grow up in front of my lens. Hands down my favorite part about what I do!!

Enjoy…comment away….she earned it! ;)

This was a really cute little wishing well on the property where we took pictures.  I have SUCH a sweet one of her next to the whole thing, but on the blog, she was about the size of an ant-lol.  Seriously, it was huge compared to her, and it looked tiny before she stood next to it!

{Sweet and Spunky} Harford, Maryland Custom Child Photographer

It happened again! I had another one of my newborns from last summer–she’s now 15 months and just adorable!

Miss H arrived bright and early for her photo session, along with her wonderful parents. I just love her little hair style–short and sassy–just like her. We spent the morning exploring the park in the lovely freshly cut dewy grass. It was a little overcast, but not too hot yet, which is always a good thing.

Her session is looking so cute. The family shots really make me smile, especially the one where her parents are lovingly kissing her cheeks. Just look at her little fingers wrapped around Daddy’s (hey isn’t that supposed to be the other way around?). :)  My other favorite shot is the one where she’s standing up on the picnic table in her pink dress.  Literally, she had just gotten dressed, Mommy arranged her barrette just so,  and I was really loving the light.  I politley asked Dad to step out of the frame, she smiled at me, and viola!  Sometimes I get lucky and it happens just.like.that.

Thanks so much for yesterday! I feel blessed and honored to capture these little people as they grow and change over the years. It makes my heart happy. Enjoy….

(yeah yeah–I know you know–but new readers might not so)—15 blog comments gets this super fam a free 5×7 print! Lend a hand if you please!

{Time Flies} Harford, Maryland Custom Child Portrait Photographer

Posted on August 20, 2010

Time really does fly. I think it all the time about my own children, but being in the child portrait business for over a year now….I am thinking this about my clients as well. There is something so rewarding and exciting about taking a baby’s first pictures as newborns, and then their one year photos as well.

This is “A” and big sis “E.” I met them for the very first time about a year ago when A was born, and even back then I could tell that baby A was going to have a fabulous big sister. Now, a year later, I was right! It was so adorable seeing her protect and love her baby sis.

Mom joked at the session that little A is pretty much like a “toddler boy” in her mannerisms sometimes. She’s strong, serious, determined, and all about exploring and discovering new things–not to mention just stinkin’ adorable! I love the series of pics with her and my yellow chair. She pretty much wanted to show us how strong she was by picking it up and carryying it up and down the bridge. It was nothing short of hysterical and just super cute.

E is my daughter’s age and just a sweet, thoughtful, caring gal with a big ol’ heart… feeling for everyone. When I was processing her pictures–I could see that. She also kind of reminds me of young Drew Barrymore in E.T with that sweet smile and crinkly “happy” eyes.

You guys have a beautiful family, a lovely balance of personality, and a LOT of fun on your hands.
Enjoy the sneak, and A–Happy First Birthday!!

And if you like what you see, leave a comment please!  15 comments gets A and E’s lovely family a FREE 5×7!  Woot!

{Three is a magic number!} Harford, Maryland Custom Child Portrait Photographer

Posted on August 17, 2010

I am a child of three, and secretly I am pretty sure I always thought I would have three of my own (who knows, right?). This mom told me that going from one to two children is harder than going from two to three… :)

When we met up in this family’s neighborhood last night it was a little overcast, but as our session was winding down the sun came out and wow….what a great location for some evening sunset light.

These are some seriously beautiful children, right? I am in complete awe and amazement over the oldest child’s gorgeous head of hair! The middle child, and only boy, was also donning some of those pretty curls. Baby “L” was your standard youngest. We toted her around, and she was pretty much content to just “be.” What a sweetie pie.

After a hot and sweaty session, we ended the evening at the playground swinging! Big sis was learning to pump, little “L” preferred to sit still in her swing, and “B” explored the tunnel like any little toddler boy would. Life’s good!

Great meeting you guys! Thanks for a sun session! Enjoy the sneak…and as always, 15 blog comments gifts this fam a 5×7 print! You know you want too…. ;)
