{Pre School Rocks!} Harford, MD Custom Child Photography

Sniff sniff…..my girl is in her last year of pre school!
Next year we’ll be boarding that big ol’ yellow bus, and I will be frantically searching for a glimpse of her little face in the window as she drives away.
Of course we are going to “rock” pre school well and celebrate with a “back to school” Marlie photo shoot! These were not done the morning of school. I’m not that organized, and my girl isn’t that pleasant first thing in the morning. I did these Monday night.
I can barely stomach how grown up and gorgeous she looks in this first picture. Wow. Her hair, her face….all of it. Every day I see a little more “toddler” disappear, and a beautiful little girl is slowly emerging. Her loves; writing in her notebook (Harriet the Spy style), puppies, puppies, and….did I mention puppies?
There were sooo many great shots of her in this series. I wish I could have blogged them all, but that would make me one crazy, insane mama. Maybe later…when business is slow.
Her shirt is from none other than Tiny Toes. I went in to chat with Karen about our next in store sessions and I could not leave without one. Isn’t it adorable!? She wore it today for her first day. :). They also have “Kindergarten Rocks” T-shirts. You better believe Marlie will be wearing that next year!
Good luck all you kiddos, and moms and dads out there! Have a fabulous school year!!
We can’t wait. Pre school ROCKS!!
Enjoy my little one….

This next series was all her idea. She said, “Mommy, let’s pretend my Puppy is licking me!” It was so adorable…

…to summer, that is!
Just my babies on a gorgeous summer night at my grandfather’s house.
He has a pool, swings, a great yard, and delicious evening sunset light.
It is definitely one of my favorite places….and now my childrens’ as well.
Love you Pop Pop!!

{G-Moms Rule}
Posted on August 1, 2010
My mom.
The BEST there is.
Known as “G-Mom” to my kiddos (chosen by G-Mom herself).
She’s cute, fun, and full of life–ready to have a good time.
My mom casually asked me if I’d take a recent picture of her to update her facebook page.
Of course, I agreed, but I don’t think she knew what was in store.
I don’t do snapshots–I do sessions. This was a mini mini session in my commons area after she came home from taking Marlie to church with her.
Yes, you will sit in the grass and look sassy! Marlie will attest… this is how it is done;)
Anyway, my dad passed away 6 years ago and she’s finally ready to get out there again.
We’d like to see her with a kind, loving, SAFE, handsome guy that also loves kids, and probably has some grandkids of his own. Email me your prospects (I am only half kidding)! She’s an incredible catch.
My mom is my world. I won’t entrust her to just anyone.
Sorry Mom–I don’t think you knew you’d be blogged…but you are just TOO cute not to.
Love ya!!

{Happy Birthday Beautiful Girl!}
Posted on July 28, 2010
It’s my baby girls’ 4th birthday today!
Very hard to believe that the tiny (is 9lbs 13oz still tiny??) baby I held in my arms at 4:32 this morning 4 years ago today, is now my little girlfriend. She is growing into an amazingly smart, sensative, funny, talented little gal (with a big love for puppies and some John Mayer)–but really I think her general disposition has been the same since she was just a baby-a quiet observer with a lot going on in that head of hers.
She’s next to me now, ironically enough watching videos on my phone of when she was about 9 months old. Does she feel like she’s growing up fast too?
Thanks for being a wonderful daughter Marlie. We love you to the moon and back!
Love, Daddy, Mommy, and Jackson.

Just my kids at a local playground yesterday. I love grabbing shots of them “doing what they do!” Jackson was proud to conquer the zipline…and for Marlie it was the balance beam. Family days are my favorite days….
Enjoy!!
