If you are a facebook fan, then you know how excited I am over this session. Of course, I love all my sessions, especially my itty bitty newborns, but I get giddy over trying something totally new.
This mom and dad had the creative idea of getting some shots of their new baby boy on the pool table downstairs. We put our heads together, …mom dug up a “pool ball” fleece scarf that her neice made her, dad got the balls all qued up (right?), and I got to work on my end of the best angle and best light. Viola! I love it. It is such a cool experience being able to create something that is special just to the client (ie–custom photography!).
I got that “giddy” feeling double today. Baby B’s room was just adorable…and more importantly so special and meaningful. One of his grandmothers painted a big brown tree in his room on one wall. For the leaves of the tree, she actually had the guests at the baby shower write messages on these paper leaves, and then placed them on the tree in his room. It was so beautiful! (check it out in the collage below the pool table shot)
B is totally cute and just precious. He was sleepy and content for the entire session (after all, his room was a sauna!), and it was fun chatting with mom and dad while we made these special photographic memories! Thanks again, it was great meeting you…and hi “Uncle Steve!”
If you made it this far, please show some blog love and commnent on this post. 15 comments gets B and his family a free 5×7 print–I love when that happens! THANKS!

I said I wouldn’t ever do this.
But I am going to.
Here’s the story. Meet Peyton. He’s a sweet baby boy to these parents from a maternity session I did back in June. Isn’t he a complete doll? He really was a cutie. We had an eventful day today. Mr. Peyton had his first day of major alertness (day 9 mind you), which is a great thing for optimistic Mom and Dad–hoping he sleeps better at night. Not so much a good thing for those sleepy shots I was hoping to get, but all you need is some patience. You always need patience in this biz. Actually, sometimes a challenging newborn session bursts more creativity…and that is what I think happened to us today.
Anyway, I am getting off topic. So, I am a HUGE Ravens fan (yes, this is actually on topic). Ask anyone that knows my family. I love nothing more than requests to incorporate the team into local sessions, which we did do also today (they ARE Ravens fans)….but occasionally I get requests for “other” football teams. Of course I do it–but I keep it a big ol’ secret so my friends and family don’t disown me! I would never put it on the BLOG!
Peyton was no exception to getting the request, but he was an exception to blog sharing. He shares a name with the Peyton Manning from the Colts (I know, I know–the Colts–but Peyton’s a good guy, no?). We snapped a few pictures of sweet baby Peyton lying on his little toddler Manning jersey…and I knew it would end up here. How could it not? It’s part of his story, it IS his story, and it’s soooo so sweet–just like him.
So forgive me Baltimore. I did it for Peyton. Sweet, wide awake, lovable Peyton.
Hope he sleeps good for you guys tonight. I want an update!!
And don’t punish us for the jersey–please share some blog love for this cutie! 15 comments here gets this fam a free 5×7 print.
I am starting with my team though.

Here it is…

{Girls, they wanna have fun!} Baltimore, Maryland Custom Newborn Portrait Photographer

That’s right, three sweet little girls for this family!
This adorable set of twin girls are 6 weeks old already….the oldest newborns I have had to date, and the FIRST set of newborn twins I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. It was definitely a great challenge for me all around (good “training” as my dad would have said), but I am extremely pleased with the pictures so far. I really love being able to try new and different poses etc for my portfolio, and their mom was up for whatever I wanted to try! Thanks Mom!
Sweet little A and E aren’t identical, as I am sure you can tell, but they are both gorgeous baby girls. They pretty much took turns sleeping on and off, except for when we took them outside for some pictures on the blanket–the cool breezes we were having yesterday knocked BOTH them right out, as Mom predicted it would. I seized the opportunity!
I love the shots with big sister V. This gal is full of spunk, and she will certainly make sure her younger counterparts learn the ropes. I had a really good time taking her out for a “mini photoshoot” of her own. Everybody needs that special attention!
Thanks again for having me over yesterday. You blessed with three beautiful girls!! Enjoy the sneak, and as always–15 comments get this family a free 5×7. Show the love!!! Thanks.

Anyone who knows this Momma knows how fitting that blog title truly is. The big sis in this new family, A, has always been referred too as “the princess,” and she has more than enough pink to prove it!! I have photographed her on many occasions, and it is always a pleasure (for me and my portfolio).
Enter…another Princess…and another A! She was sweet as can be and pretty much let me do my thing. Well, okay, she wasn’t thrilled with me moving and posing her, but she didn’t put up much of a fight either!
We even got Daddy in on the shoot today! Can you guess which picture is “his?” If you know him you can (pssst–it’s the very last one)! I seem to have a new found obsession with my old fruit crate these days…and A’s (yes–that’s two A’s plural) Daddy had a crate of his own…a bit smaller than mine, but she fit right in under a pretty willow tree. I love the shot we got, and am most happy to do something special for this now VERY outnumbered Dad!
Mommy, your princesses are both beautiful and darling. Thanks for letting me spend this morning with you guys, and ….I guess that makes you Queen!!
Enjoy…xo!
And of course, if you read this little post–share some love with the T fam and comment here! 15 gets them a free 5×7….help them out!! Mommy comments on here a lot. THANKS!

Remember this sweet couple I took maternity pictures for a few months ago?
Well, their precious baby girl came a few weeks early–and she couldn’t be more darling.
She was like putty in my hands, sleeping “like a baby” (ha ha), and pretty much just wonderful for her first photo shoot. Mom and Dad watched in awe…marveling over this amazing life they had created.
That little musical giraffe in the picture is special to this family because Mommy played it to baby K for weeks while she was in her tummy. Isn’t that adorable?
It was a perfect day, and so is she.
Welcome to the world sweet baby K.
Congratulations Mom and Dad…
Thanks for letting me capture these moments for you.
