Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

“Noodle.” That was Mom’s nickname for baby J (so adorable, right?)…although the post title now makes me think of Mr. Noodle from Sesame Street (J’s Mom and Dad will get that reference in about a year 😉 ).

Little man was a big suprise for this family, coming almost a whole month early! He was so tiny, and had a rougher beginning of sorts than most full term babies, so we decided to stick with his original session date. Technically speaking he’s already a month old-but gestationally he is right on time…which might explain why he was just perfect for me today! Mom and Dad might beg to differ, there was a lot of poop…but for me, that is to be expected.

I had a great time with all of you today, baby J is oh so handsome…and congratulations of your wonderful new family.

Happy Birthday to J’s Mom–I wanted to get this sneak peek up right away just for your special day!!

Sisters. So sweet.
This little angel was a dream, and nearly a week past the age I normally photograph newborn babies.
I was leaving for my two week vacation when she made an early appearance!

It was exciting to pop outside in the backyard to get some shots of big sis…and we even got a few of baby M as well–but the heat was just unbearable! What a crazy, hot summer it has been so far.

Thanks L fam for having me to your home to capture these moments….I enjoyed meeting both of your beautiful girls.
Enjoy the nice big sneak!! I had many favorites….
PS–Leave them some blog love!
If this family gets 15 comments here on their photos, they get a free 5×7 print!! Can’t beat that….

We truly did have a great time…and it IS hard to be home, but it’s nice to get back into routines I suppose!
These are some of my faves from an evening on the beach with the kids.

Have I ever mentioned how crazy hard it is to photograph your OWN children? I am sure I have.
You wouldn’t want to see it.
No, you really wouldn’t.
My husband usually pulls away from said location saying, “Hope you don’t act like that at your client sessions.”
Yeah…I’m pretty bad. Someone usually cries. Sometimes me–lol!
No really–it’s just not the same. Other people’s children think I am fresh, new, fun, and just….kinda (stress kinda) cool!
My own kids are so over it.
But you can’t tell, can you? That’s the “magic!” 😉

Enjoy!! Just a few faves….
Happy 4th!!

Well, this was supposed to be Beach Bash III….but a storm had other plans for my middle beach session, and we weren’t able to reschedule. Actually, another storm TRIED deperately to cancel THIS session too, and almost succeeded, but we ducked in between two big storms and got a few cute shots!

Now, originally, these portraits were centered around E turning 10 next month. Isn’t she lovely? The camera has a big crush on her. Her little bro and sis joined in for a few shots, but just barely before the rain came pourning down again. This family is WONDERFUL, I have photographed them before, and I don’t think I could ever tire of these adorable faces…. 🙂

I do still love shooting on the beach, but I can definitely see the obstacles with the weather. It was so humid after the first storm, my lens was fogging up like crazy. Never experienced that…. Then, the sky just turned SUPER dark and overcast. We really didn’t get much of a sunset.

Hoping to take my kiddos out tomorrow night…we shall see what Mother Nature has in store!
Enjoy the sneak!!

The oh so lovely Miss E….a gorgeous gal…
