Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

Ahhhh…big change in the air for the Parks family! Another baby is on the way in less than a month.
No, not me!

This is my sister in law. We are married to brothers, and I am lucky enough to say she is my very good friend too.
My daughter and their daughter are only 9 months apart, and I love that we can get together lots and watch the kids grow up together.

Now, the first time around they found out they were having a girl. This time–they are having a SUPRISE! I love that. I didn’t find out either time I was pregant (yes, I know–there are 2 types of people in the world, those that find out, and those that don’t), but I am shocked that they are not because my sis-in-law is a big planner! I am happy they aren’t though, as I love a good suprise baby (and I have hand me downs for them either way)!

When she asked me to pop over today and grab some belly shots and shots with little “E,” I was excited. I can remember this feeling all too well. Really, it’s like it was yesterday. Before Jax was born, I had supreme Mama anxiety over changing Marlie’s life. I loved us just the way we were, but I knew we’d all love this new baby like crazy. I soaked in every second with her at the end of the pregnancy with Jax like it was my job, knowing we would truly never have THIS again. And we don’t have THAT anymore, ….but we have something better now.

I am so blessed to be able to snap this moment in time for my neice–and for Mommy. You can’t get it back, and you really never want to, but it’s nice to always remember it.

So we went over for a yummy Valentine’s Day breakfast complete with heart shaped Jello, and we celebrated family LOVE!
Love you! Can’t wait until Baby Parks makes their way into this world.

Pretty Mommy….

FINALLY–the snow has stopped and I can forge ahead with sessions!

Yay!

I met up with this spunky gal this morning for some really cute shots! “R” was so creative with her poses, and just a lot of fun to work with. You could tell right away that she was no stranger to the camera! 😉 She even sang for me a little bit, and what a beautiful voice!

Thanks for making the trip out to see me! Enjoy the sneak peek!! These are some of my favorites….

Suprised?

I didn’t think so!! 😉

Got my new paper, and my darling daughter so graciously volunteered to be my model…yet again.
I love the way the brown paper brings out her gorgeous hazel eyes.

Tried some new things here too….I love getting close up. I actually dusted off my zoom lens for these! I am such a prime gal, but it was fun to have more versatility with these.

On another note…I have some sessions scheduled this week that I HOPE do not get snowed out!
We have about 2 feet on he ground already–and two more feet coming. Ugh.

Crazy!!

So Spring is just around the corner! Okay, well….maybe not JUST around the corner…but I can see the corner?? Yes?
I can’t wait, but it’s bitter sweet. My hubby is a LAX ref and pretty soon I’ll be kissing him good bye for most weekends and weeknights. It’s pretty insane once things get going, but this extra income allows me to be a stay at home mom/part time photographer–for which I am forever grateful. It’s such a gift.

Anyway, my husband’s family is pretty lacrosse crazy, and I know secretly he wants at least one of our children to play (though he’ll never admit that fully). We have had the mini LAX sticks lying around since my daughter was born. She never really showed much interest, but my son seems to really like it! At first he would “vacuum” with them (he likes to clean–much like my husband), but now they are “sticks” and he just walks around with them, cradling. He has 3, and the one featured in these photos is actually my husbands from when he was smaller, which I think is adorable. It’s “Daddy’s Stick.” G-Mom usually confiscates them when she’s here because they can become weapons of sorts!

The sweater you see is an adorable hand me down from one of my former first grade student’s family. Yes, you read that right. The awesome parents of the kids I used to teach are still “taking care of me!” They are and always will be the best!! 😉

Enjoy!! SO many pictures of the kids recently… As I have said, this biz is pretty slow in the winter….and I am brushing up on my indoor possibilities. I just ordered some new seamless…so I am sure I’ll be back!! 😉

And…he’s SMILING for me!! Ack!
