Okay, so I knew I was going to love my girl in this absolutely adroable lion costume from (one guess–who makes all these cute tutus?) —Paisley and Posies! Remember the bee and the lady-bug? Well, her Etsy shop is OPEN. Get over there now! 🙂

The shop owner Suzanne was sooo right….her curls in this costume as a lion were a perfect match! Love it! This is a tutu DRESS….and I just adore the fullness and the “princess” feel.

I have had so many great reasons to take my daughter out for a photoshoot lately, and we’ve had such fun (well, MOST of the time). I feel so blessed I will have all these pictures to share with her when she is older….

She’s been in costumes so much lately–I hope she’s still excited for Halloween!!

  • Suzanne - Thank you so much for doing this for me, Lindsay!!!! They are great!!! I have one that I took last year with the tail in it, so that worked out just fine!!

Ahhh…newborns! They make me smile inside. Then, I head home to my little ones who in comparison look gigantic!! This gal was another sweetie pie…a bit older than most newborns I have photographed, but she slept like the best of them.

So Mom was a fan of the hat with the big ol’ flower on top (how can you not be the way it emphasizes their tiny newborn features). Thought I’d go black and white to try something different than last time.

We headed up to Mom and Dad’s room for some shots of big brother with little sis. This bedroom was awesome! With bold colors and crisp lines…it made me feel like I was on vacation. I’d love to come home to that each night. My favorite part was the wall behind the bed that read,”Just one lifetime won’t be enough for us.” Neat, right??
Can you tell he’s engrossed in Imagination Movers during that shot? 🙂

I love photographing toddlers! I am sure most photographers think taking pictures of these “little” clients is a nightmare, because they are very much on the go–but I think that’s why I love it. When you get that shot–it’s a huge victory, and it is usually soooo “them.” They don’t pose, they don’t worry about how they look, they are just pure and sweet.

Little Miss “G” was just that…pure sweetness! LOVED the adorable skirt her Mama dressed her in for the session (Old Navy by the way). How do you like her favorite toy, an adorable cow rocker?! Cuuuute!!

It was another mini–so only 2 pics. 😉 I can’t give it all away!!

I was almost 100 percent certain this morning’s session would be cancelled…they were calling for clouds and rain ALL day. I even called the mom early this morning and pretty much planted the seed we most likely would not be meeting up. At the last minute, the sun started peeking out…trying SO hard to shine, and viola! We had the perfect morning!

This sweet little gal is six months old and she was so good for her shoot this morning (and she brought the sunshine with her). Okay, we didn’t get a lot of smiles out of her, but that’s not always the sign of a sucessful shoot for me. Serious works sometimes! Although, I must say I am shocked we didn’t have her rolling. Her mom and I were working hard, acting like crazy people to get a glimpse of that smile! The women who worked at the venue we met up at were certainly entertained by our antics! 🙂

So look at this beauty! I love the chubby cheeks!

It was a wonderful morning with another fantastic Mommy and her baby girl. I love my job!

Oh, and this was a “mini session” (yeah right–as Mommy laughs)…something new I am trying out. Since the “minis” only promise 10-15 images in your gallery, I will only show 2 on the blog. I don’t want to give almost half the session away. You know how hard it is for me to restrain!! Okay fine…3. 3 I can do!
