Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

So we headed over to training camp, as we always do!

Daddy has to get his autographs!
Mommy has to get her pictures.

As you can see, my daughter is in all her glory these days. She’s PERFECT for photographing (and I won’t lie—she’s perfect for a little bribery too). My son—well, he is a another story. He is the most adorable little guy, so of course I want to just snap-snap away, but he resists. He wants to play, he wants to “go go go” and sitting down for a picture is virtually out of the question (as you can see as you scroll down). Seeing his face in a picture is a miracle, and he’s usually zoning out on something, but I will take it!!

It wasn’t an easy feat manning two kids 3 and under alone while attempting to get that perfect picture (Daddy was autograph hunting for a good hour), but I captured the day—I captured them—and that, as you know, is always my goal!

If you know our family, you know we are HUGE Raven’s fans—so here’s to our guys and a great season!

GO RAVENS!!

  • Leslie Cain - How cute!!! I’m so sad I wasn’t there!!! Our babies are beautiful–so beautiful that it makes me cry!!!ReplyCancel

I met up with the most adorable family today, at their home. There were 3 boys-ages 5, 4, and 1! It was a lot of fun getting to know their personalities and what makes them smile (like Dad telling superhero bedtime stories or banana jokes). They were just too cute.

The littlest guy who just turned one definitely needed a birthday portrait—and of course we had to have some brotherly love!

Now, the last two pictures just make me laugh. We did have some nice “posed “ family shots, but as I was leaving today, Mom and I were discussing how it’s tough to get that “perfect” portrait…and that is never really my aim.

My goal is always to capture the child or family as they are—just being. Well, okay—sometimes that may be a bit extreme, but I LOVE these shots anyway! The last one is actually more like an ‘out-take.’The boys were silly! They are supposed to be! They were great to work with, smiled “nice” when necessary, but three boys under 5 is a wonderful handful full of excitement and adventure. Their mom is adorable too, and that last shot is so her. At least, I think so!

Enjoy—great meeting you guys and hanging out at your house today!

So yes, I have been busy!

I woke up bright and early this morning to meet up with one of the nicest couples (friends of family), and photograph one of the greatest moments in their lives….their first baby!

This little guy was pretty much up for whatever, so I totally took advantage! I love him in that blue elf hat…does it get any cuter?

I know his mom might not be a big fan that I am showing the world this picture of her with her son. No one feels super glamorous a week after giving birth (probably the opposite), but I think she looks beautiful with him. What amazes me is that he was in her belly a week ago, and now–here they are together. You are going to be a great mom–you already are!

Congratulations to you both! Having a baby changes everything, but it is by far the greatest success of your life. 🙂

  • Jackie Parks - He is adorable! I love the picture of Mommy and Baby and ofcourse the Ravens one! I can’t wait to meet him tonight! Great job Linds!ReplyCancel

I had the pleasure of photographing the cutest and sweetest family last night. I have to admit, I do get nervous when my subjects are older than, say, 8, …and when there are more than 4 of them in a picture! 🙂 It’s just a tad out of my comfort zone. However, these guys were a blast, so laid back, and made my job so easy!

The oldest boys just got a new little cousin, and they were so adorable with him. The boys both wanted to hold him and feed him. It was very endearing. And that 3 month old little cousin, baby “A,” was just the cutest thing ever! Just look at his cheeks and his belly!! I told mom she HAS to let me get my hands on him for his own pics in about 3 more months.

My favorite shot of the evening had to be the one with the boys and their grandparents. What a moment frozen in time!

Thanks for a wonderful night all of you! Enjoy sneaking a peek!
