Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

Yes, five is a fabulous age!

I am so used to photographing toddlers these days, it was exciting to finally have a “big girl” on my hands. It took a little while for her to warm up (kids are definitely more “aware” that I am a stranger at this age), but it was fun seeing all of her different sides and capturing her personality.

Isn’t she just gorgeous? She had beautiful, long, golden hair, and a stunning smile.

Like most kids, once we got “into” it, she started to like the attention, and the camera….but the camera surely liked her from the beginning. Can’t you tell?

It was great meeting you guys today….enjoy!

Proof the camera liked her at once–this is my second or third shot!

Okay so if you know me, you know my daughter’s hair. Heck, even if you don’t **know** me, you know her hair from this blog. She is turning 3 on Tuesday, and she has had ONE, yes ONE haircut in her life! (and honestly, it’s so curly, you couldn’t even tell).

Well, I was expecting this, but with boys…it’s totally different. You have to cut it. I mean, you don’t want to (or at least I didn’t), but you kind of have to. I was dragging my heels with this, telling myself my little guy had the “summer surfer style,” but finally my husband basically forced “the big haircut” on me this past weekend.

I am so glad he did! When I share some of darling daughter’s birthday pics, my son looks so grown up and handsome!

Anyway, I dragged my camera to the salon, and I am so glad that I did. I love these pictures, and they really captured the experience perfectly.

It made me think that other mom’s out there that may want these special moments captured too–so if you need me for an “event” such as this–give me a holler!

Enjoy…..

These two brothers were just what little boys are made of, and luckily we picked the perfect location for them to be just that! There was lots of running, lots of mud, some splashing, a few slips…but no injuries–making this session a success!! 🙂

Of course, there was a desperate need for outfit changes before getting back in the car to head home, but that is a small price to pay for all the fun the boys had.

It even got to the point where they would yell, “Miss Lindsay…Look at this!” and smile proudly in the new spot they thought was a perfect location for a picture. Adorable!

These little guys are the sons of an old friend I just reconnected with from highschool, and may I just tell you–they were so sweet!
It was fun getting together last night. Thansk for letting me capture the boys just as they are…right now.

We had Pop Pop’s annual pool party yesterday, and my daughter sported an oh so cute bathing suit gifted to her by a dear friend’s Aunt and Uncle. I know! How are some people just so naturally givers?

I can’t help it, but the bathing suit just cracks me up! They saw the suit in a 3T, quickly went down the list of little girls they knew who could rock it well, and my darling girl was first on the list!! It is so PRECIOUS!

So thanks Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve. We looooove the suit.

Ms. Danielle….hopefully someday we can hand it down to you–but not for Max of course. 🙂

Enjoy the pics!

Well, if the blog title fits, wear it! And she does…

Don’t you just wanna squeeze her little face??
I met up with this cutie and her mom and dad this morning. She was on the go, and a typical two year old mix of sweet, silly, serious, and sassy—but not shy! 🙂

I had fun chasing her around and trying to capture her adorable personality!

I think I got it!
