Hello everyone!
I am so excited to introduce a new feature on my blog to kick off the summer!
Meet my friend and talented Mama, Krista Demcher…
We are both so excited to spend the summer exploring the coolest spots in Harford County for Moms to check out, and also featuring some of Bel Air’s best local shops. There will be giveaways, contests….lots of fun to be had. Our hope is to check in with you at least the first Friday of every month, so our first “Mama’s Ticket to the Town” post will be this Friday, June 8th–don’t miss it!

Without further adieu….here is a little about Krista!!

Hi Everyone! I’m so excited to be teaming up with Lindsay to bring you the very best of Bel Air businesses. I just love what our town has to offer and my hope is to share more our favorite, established storefronts as well as to introduce you to some undiscovered pearls. You’ll learn a little bit about the inspiration behind these businesses, their favorite products and services and maybe even have the chance to win some freebies along the way!

I met Lindsay back in 2009 when I Googled child portrait photographers in Harford County. I instantly loved what I saw on her website and booked our session right away! Upon first meeting, I knew we had stumbled upon someone special. Lindsay had this incredible knack of capturing our girls in a moment that was ‘so them’ – the coy smile, the mischievous grin, the tender hugs – those moments that as a parent I was so afraid I’d forget. Thanks to Lindsay we now have them frozen in time forever – and I’m eternally grateful. Oh, and did I mention how awesome she is with kiddos? She knows just how to make them smile and laugh, and engages them with the camera in a way that has always seemed impossible to me. She truly has a gift and I count my lucky stars that she’s willing to play such a special role in our family’s life.

When Linds and I discovered that our oldest babies were about the same age, we decided to set up an impromptu playdate…and the rest is history! The girls got along famously – almost as well as Lindsay and I. 😉 It was the beginning of a great friendship that I so cherish. As a mom, it’s sometimes hard to find others that share the same parenting style as you do – and while it’s great to vary your mama friends, I love having someone who is on the same page as I am. I also love that Lindsay is a big sap like I am too – so watch out, you’ll be getting a double dose on this blog now!

A little background on me before we get started: I’m the wife of an awesome man and Daddy, Brian, and the mama to two sweet little girls, Ava (5) and Emme (3). We are Bel Air transplants, having moved here four years ago. I’m a Pennsylvania native, a Towson alum and have lived in Oklahoma and Connecticut before setlling here in 2008. Of all the places we’ve called home, Bel Air is by far our favorite! We love the small town feel, the friendliness of the people, the great schools and the access to just about anything we need! We are blessed to call it home.

I’m a former teacher turned school counselor turned stay-at-home mama – and now I run my own business with Stella & Dot, a boutique-inspired jewelry line. I’ve been a full time working mama, a full time stay-at-home mama, and now a part-time work-at-home mama and I can say without a doubt that they’re all equally as challenging! Right now I’m loving my current set-up and am thankful to have found a business platform that lets me be my own boss while spending my days with my girls. I work as hard as I want, when I want and am able to make a significant financial contribution to our family, which feels so good. The fabulous jewelry is a great bonus!

I look forward to getting to know you, Lindsay’s readers, and to bring you some great inside tips on Bel Air’s best. Linds and I would love to hear from you too – so please comment below on what you’d like to read about!go ahead, pin thisgo ahead, pin this
