Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

Visit the Paisley and Posies etsy shop for more details on these adorable tutu costumes that any little girl would adore! The shop may be on vacation mode for a few days, so be sure to check back frequently. Just bookmark it or something so you don’t forget! 🙂

I dressed up my curly haired gal and we had a photo-session all our own, and she LOVED it. These costumes made her feel so special. I can’t tell you how many people stopped to find out where I got them!

We also have a lion, so stay tuned. Two costumes today really wore a girl down! We had to break it into two sessions!

Thanks Suzanne–you do awesome, awesome, awesome work!! (Suzanne is the shop owner–and she’s a doll!!)

Oh what a beautiful morning…oh what a beautiful mom to be….

What musical is that even from?

But really—it was a gorgeous day, and I met up with a beautiful family for Mom’s maternity pics and some family shots as well.

This stunning mom is already 34 weeks preggo and is clearly the kind of pregnant woman that makes itllook so easy and graceful (though all of us that have been there clearly know it is not).

She has an adorable little 2 year old guy, a handsome hubby, and in October she’ll have another man (yes, it’s another boy) in her life.

I know he will adore her just as these two already do. What’s not to adore?

Thanks so much for a fun morning! It was great meeting you and freezing this moment in time for you…

It was awesome.
She was awesome.
The kids were awesome…just….awesome!

I am so excited for my daughter’s new educational journey. Having been a teacher for many years, I really wanted to pick the perfect school for her, and for us…and I feel really good about our choice.

Now, of course, these pics are all of her and “the bookbag.” It’s all about the big back-pack strapped to her tiny frame! So cute….

I have some adorable snaps of the kids in action in the classroom, but I hesitate to post any of those because I don’t have permission from the parents of those kiddos.

I will end with this. I am definitely in for it. As we were dressing for school, I pulled out the outfit we had chosen the night before and my gal announced she would not be wearing that! She had to pick out all new duds. I helped “encourage” the pants, because we totally don’t have that coordination thing going on yet, but she picked out the top (which I got for $1.74 at Target yesterday, thank you very much) all on her own.

When I told my mom that story, she said Marlie sounds just like me when I was her age. 🙂

Anyway, enjoy the shots of my baby off to her first day of school. My fave is the last shot because that is Marlie actually IN the room during class. You’ll see her looking pretty apprehensive in the pictures building up to the entrance–but once “into it” she was all smiles!!

Here’s to a great year!!

  • Suzanne - i love the one of the littles with their bookbags on their tiny backs!! They look so big compared to their little bodies!! I hope she has a great year!ReplyCancel

  • Debbie - I love these pictures! You have my permission to show my little one on your site. I’d love to see what you captured of his face, tears and all! These are wonderful!ReplyCancel

What a doll!

Little Miss “A” was so sweet. I had the pleasure of visiting with her today, and really—I had the pleasure of visiting with her wonderful Mommy. I always say the best part of my job (well, there are a ton of “great” parts) is talking to other moms. It’s fun swapping stories and bonding over a sweet, squishy newborn!

“A’s” big sis was an even bigger doll! She’s 3 and reminded me so much of my gal at home. She’s adjusting so well to the new arrival, and really enjoyed the attention of the camera (what gal wouldn’t?). Hope your mouth wasn’t too blue for pre-school from that lolly!

Congrats to the entire family, and Dad, as I said before—you are now out-numbered 3 to 1! Good luck! 🙂
Thanks for letting me be part of the first days home….
