Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

and I really mean that…because this little dude could truck!! 😉

This is Emerick, the sweet son of a local photographer, and now friend of mine, Anni Matusky of Anni Oh Photography.
Being friends in the same biz, we pretty much end up talking “shop” a lot, and when she expressed her frustration on trying to be both Emerick’s wonderful mom AND his personal photographer — I so felt her pain…especially with a two year old boy–seen any great pics of Jackson lately? It’s SUCH a hard age.

When she asked for my help–I of course said yes, and requested a swap! Yes, you heard me right people…I am finally going to get pictures of my family taken, and you better believe I will share them here. 🙂 Next month hopefully!

So anyway, Anni wasn’t lying. Emerick is fast, has his own agenda, and wants to get busy with it–quick!! What was presented to me as a dapper, pulled together, adorable gap toddler model quickly became an airplane lovin’, hot, sweaty red faced mess–but still adorable mind you. So very cute–and soooo two—and SUCH a little boy!

I love the captures of him …and I hope you do too Anni! So looking forward to our session with you!

Emerick…keep truckin’ to two. What it it….2 more months??

And don’t kill me…I really like this picture of your sweet family of three!! Can’t wait to have some of our foursome!

  • anni - I LOVE them!!! Thank you SOOO much, you don’t even know how much I love them. If you love your photos half as much as I love these, I will be happy! 😉 THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I didn’t know if I would even have an “official 2 year photo” of Emerick, and now I don’t know how I will choose which one!ReplyCancel

  • Pam - You captured my handsome grandson so wonderfully! He does have his own agenda that is for sure. I love, love, love every one of these!ReplyCancel

…and growing (well–the belly at least). 🙂
This gorgeous Mama to be is glowing from the inside out, as any pregnant woman should.
Believe it or not–she’s my neighbor…and we just met for the first time last night.

In our neighborhood we are blessed with a beautiful trail only steps away…so we of course took advantage.
It was a treat to stroll around with the adorable parents to be.

Mom was a trooper on this hot summer night–but because of that we were able to steal some great shots.
Photographing grown-ups is surreal…they stand still, they can meet for a session past 6:30….it’s a treat!

Enjoy your sneak peek guys…can’t wait to photograph your new addition in September!!

PS–15 comments here gets this cute couple a free 5×7 print!!

It’s my baby girls’ 4th birthday today!
Very hard to believe that the tiny (is 9lbs 13oz still tiny??) baby I held in my arms at 4:32 this morning 4 years ago today, is now my little girlfriend. She is growing into an amazingly smart, sensative, funny, talented little gal (with a big love for puppies and some John Mayer)–but really I think her general disposition has been the same since she was just a baby-a quiet observer with a lot going on in that head of hers.

She’s next to me now, ironically enough watching videos on my phone of when she was about 9 months old. Does she feel like she’s growing up fast too?

Thanks for being a wonderful daughter Marlie. We love you to the moon and back!
Love, Daddy, Mommy, and Jackson.

  • Sarah Edwards - Happy Birthday Marlie! What a beautiful girl you are growing into! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Leslie Cain - Beautiful photos Linds. Marlie is getting to be so grown up! She will be your best friend as you are mine!ReplyCancel

I am a dog person. I always had a dog growing up, and they were both terrific pups. We don’t have one now, as my husband is NOT a dog person, and you really can’t MAKE someone a dog person (though I think Marlie will be trying as she is ALL about puppies)….but I love dogs, especially family pups like this guy…Cooper.

This family totally and utterly adored Cooper, and the feeling was mutual. Any dog that lives in the home of 5, 4, and 2 year old kiddos has to have lots of patience…and lots of love. I love how it looks like he is winking in the pictures,
but…he’s not. Mom told me the whole story about how he had to have his eye sewn shut when he was 4 because of a detached retina….poor guy.

Well, I suppose I shouldn’t go on and on about the dog–lol (although he was a very important part of this family). It was a hot sticky night (what night hasn’t been these days??), and the “D” fam had me over to their gorgeous property for some shots of the kids. Seriously, this was an awesome yard! There was a huge playset, a little pool area to cool down (very tempting on this night to just jump in with clothes on–I refrained), TONS and tons of room to run, and some gorgeous cornfields next to the house. The kids and I had a lot fun running around and playing together…and I definitely think I was able to capture the love between them.

Thanks for having me over…and thanks for bearing with me in this HEAT wave! 😉
Enjoy the sneak!

Oh, and if you read this post…give this fam some blog love (comments). 15 comments gets them a free 5×7 print!! THANKS!! 🙂

Ahhh…nine months! The best…no real walking or scooting yet, just content to “hang” and relax. Usually lots of gummy smiles, but little “L” just didn’t know what to make of her session with me. Doesn’t matter though because she’s all cute. That hair! Those eyes…..and she had the chunkiest most wonderful thighs.

I love babies.
And lately I love putting them in this old crate.
They seem to like it too, and they just look so adorable in it.

Okay time for BLOG LOVE people!! 15 is all this adorable cutie needs to gift her mama a 5×7 print!! Have at it!! ;)…(thank you).

Enjoy the sneak, and thanks, L, Mommy, and Auntie for a fun, HOT, summer afternoon!
