Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

As I am sure you have heard me post before, my son is less than thrilled to pose for a picture these days. He doesn’t get upset–he just won’t look at me! So…we were at a local garden for a summer concert and while he was busy flirting with someone over yonder–I got to snapping! And low and behold–he looked at me once!! Not the most “dapper” look, but cute for a 15 month old!

Just look at his eyes! It’s funny, my entire family has blue eyes. My husband has hazel. My daughter is pretty much a carbon copy of my husband–right down to the hazel eyes (which by the way are gorgeous), but “J” is all my side. He looks a lot like me and my younger brothers. Fair is fair, right? We each have one child that resembles us! 🙂

Anyway, I was happy to have some great shots of my baby’s blue, blue eyes!
He’s a doll, and just the sweetest little guy.
Only three.
Thanks for looking.

I figure it’s always nice to see a gallery slideshow of a session.
This is a lovely five year old girl who the camera adored (as did I)!

The image quality isn’t the greatest with these video players, but you’ll get the idea!

Just for a little background…I usually show mostly every image in color and black and white–but I picked and chose either one or the other for this slideshow!

Enjoy!
🙂

So, (sigh) summer is coming to an end (boooo). I love summer. My husband is a teacher and I adore having him home for a few months. The kids love it as well, so we are kinda sad around here….

I thought a blog contest might perk me up! I have never done one before, so bear with me!

I was playing around with some new presets today with color, brightness—just giving my normal “style” a new feel. Kind of vintage…. Just trying something different is exciting, so I went a little crazy. I processed one image from each summer session (May-August) this way (mostly my personal faves).

Vote, vote, vote (well, you can only vote once from each computer—but do it!) for your favorite picture out of these 18. Spread the word if this is your child!

The winner receives half off of an upcoming fall session, or 25 free holiday cards with a picture from their session!
The voting will end in one week, August 21st.

Go for it! Scroll down and pick your favorite.

…and enjoy the “new” pics. 🙂

Great job on all the photography.
    Good luck to everyone.ReplyCancel

  • Mel Pugh - I voted #9…i would entitle it “Freedom”. She is consentrating on something in the dirt(we don’t know what). A half grin on her face, showing her independence. She has a pretty dress on, but that does not limit her from playing. She is “free”.ReplyCancel

I know, it seems crazy, but the impending start of the school year means one thing….the holiday is coming quickly!
It will be here before you know it!
Last year I was building up my portfolio, and CRAZY busy at this time!
I am excited to be up and running “for real” this year, and I am hoping that with these holiday specials I will see some familiar faces (and some new ones of course)!

This year I am trying something new and also offering 4 “on location” mini sessions. See below for the specs. and dates. In addition, I will continue to book traditional sessions, newborns…all of that!

I will have my last session of the year 2009 on November 15th (aside from newborn sessions, as they are a bit time sensative). This will allow for plenty of time for me to process images, and get those holiday cards ready (and shop shop shop)!

Speaking of cards, check out these great templates available to all my photo customers courtesy of Jamie Schultz.
Cute, elegant…a little something for everyone’s taste…and they are all 2 sided and press printed. Gorgeous!

So read on, email me for questions or a PDF doc. of this flier, and I hope to see you!
