Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

That she was little Miss E, a ray on sweet, sweet sunshine. I also thought we could all use a little warm up and recall those gorgeous end of summer/early fall days. Enjoy this lil’ sneak of a fun session with a cute gal in some gorgeous sunflowers!

What can I say about these two kiddos? My camera LOVES them, and we always have a blast together.

What can I say about their Mom? She’s amazing–and so supportive my business.

Tiny Toes is an adorable boutique in Bel Air, Maryland and the shop co-owner, Karen Lewis is also the mom of these two beautiful kiddos (if you click on that link you get to their facebook page which is **ALMOST** at 1,000 likes-so help them out!). I have been honored and so excited to be part of the store in many different ways over the past two years. Of course I shop there :), but I also do seasonal mini photo shoots with the many adorable little customers who shop at Tiny Toes.

More recently, Karen and I put our heads together and created an amazing wall display in the shop using incredible frames from The Organic Bloom with my work in it (as you can see, Karen’s “work” is in the frames as well–that is her babies in the top frame from this very session).

Tiny Toes is worth checking out of you haven’t already. The staff is amazing and just super nice. “Nice” seems like such a simple term to type, but it pretty much sums up the staff. I always feel like a part of their “family” whenever I do a shoot there for the day, drop off images, or just shop for my kiddos! I know many customers feel the same.

Karen and her own mom (the other co-owner of Tiny Toes) have created a friendly, cozy atmosphere that is totally kid friendly. Blue and Orange M&Ms are always on hand on the counter, and there is even a table set up for them to color and create while Mom shops. My son always heads straight for the stacking board blocks that he creates with while I shop. They are a Tea Destination store, which means if you love Tea products, you won’t leave with empty hands (quite the opposite actually).

I guess I just wanted to take this little photo opportunity to say thanks to the store and the people behind it, especially Karen! I couldn’t ask to be part of a more wonderful place!

Check it out when you have the chance. You won’t be disappointed.

Oh, little Boys, little boys…. Well, I guess big brother isn’t really a “little” boy anymore, but all the same–a boy is a boy is a boy–even when they are–35, am I right?

Silly? Check. Lover of gross things? Check. Laughter? Check. Cute as a button? Check. These too were no exception. We had a lot of fun together on a gorgeous early fall evening where my favorite photo spot was just a beautiful sunset glow.

I love the dynamic brothers bring, and photographing it is always nothing but , well–enjoyable! It was truly a pleasure watching these two ham it up with one another. Mom and Dad–you are blessed!! Enjoy this peek into their session. 🙂

What a beautiful little newborn baby girl that graced me with such a sweet smile during our session. She’s welcomed into the world by a very eager and darling big sister who, as you can see, was plenty excited about her newest role.

I have been thinking about this family a lot the past few months. The baby’s mother had shared with me that her dad was battling some aggressive cancer. When we were scheduling the session, she was unsure whether it would actually happen, the future was so uncertain, and so unpredictable. He really fought. He held on for a lot longer than his family ever imagined, and he was able to see this baby girl enter the world, and even spend a few months with her.

I always love thinking about the line in the song “Closing Time,” Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end… I lost my own father just a few months after I got married, and even though he never physically knew my children, I know he knows them in a way that no one else can now.

My thoughts and prayers are with you guys, and I hope it will bring a smile on YOUR face to see the smile your only days old baby daughter gave me when she joined us here. She’s happy to be part of such a special family.

This night was so much fun (albeit chaotic of course), but so much love and energy. Can’t you tell just by looking at the photos of these guys? They ooze adoration and playfulness with one another. It’s definitely a connection that cannot be anything but genuine.

I have photographed this stunning family numerous time over the years, and I have loved it each and every time. The first time we met up, Mom was pregnant with little guy, and she and her hubby were about to find out the baby in her belly’s gender. She wasn’t too far along, but still–we captured that! Adorable big sis is probably one of the most endearingly, sweet photogenic young ladies I have had the pleasure of photographing (well, besides my Mar–lol). Baby brother (yes, it was a BOY-whom I had the pleasure of photographing as a newborn) was definitely at that ripe old age of 18 months where I wasn’t even close to being on his agenda this night–but oh how handsome! Daddy had to scootch pretty early for the session, but so happy to have finally caught him and his amazing bond with the kiddos this time. Last but not least, the phenomenal Mama of the bunch. I have said it before and I will say it again–one of my biggest supporters who “pimps” me out and shows me love always. I don’t think she truly knows how much that means to me!!

It has been pure bliss and honor to capture these memories for you guys! This is what it’s all about people!! 🙂

Until next time…because I know that there will be one. Maybe little man won’t be so interested in just his shoes (and running AWAY) when we meet again!
xoxo
