Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

Well…it really isn’t the season…but BOTH of my sesisons today got cancelled (well, rescheduled) due to the flu! Yes, you read that right. Poor babies. Both were two year olds, and it is scary when they are so tiny and so sick.

Feel better little friends!

So what do I do when a session is scheduled, my husband was all set to give me the night off, and I have some “photo” time. I process my precious darlings…in this case “darling.” My daughter, what a hoot she is lately! She is suddenly miss model. We checked out a new location today and even had a picnic (yes, the whole family). I put my girl to work, and oh did she work it.

There’s the “pouty, moody” look:

And the “innocent, all american, I’m three” look:

And this final look is the Marlie look.

It’s all her.

If I had to paint a picture of her personality, it’s right here. A little sarcasm, a sprinkle of mischief, but a whole lot of heart and soul goodness. Add to that some dimples above a sweet mouth, one tiny beauty mark above her eye, some shiny, bouncing curls blowing in the breeze, and a big, wide smile ….

Here she is…my girl, a look all her own:

Look at her!

Soooo precious. This little gal (believe it or not…I swear I am not lying) barely made it through 20 minutes of a photo session before she decided she was ready for bed. The session was delcared OVER.

Mom, Dad, (who were all apologies by the way) and I decided to meet up again next week for some outfit changes, as promised. I was, however, pretty happy with most of her shots!

For someone who was cranky and tired, she sure proved to be adorable and photogenic as well!

Sweet dreams little ballerina….if this is what I got with a moment, I can’t wait for our full session….stay tuned!

Nite nite.

Well….I had a session scheduled for this gorgeous evening, but one of the poor little guys is sick (feel better Colin), so…what to do? I have to be productive with this time for the business!

So, here goes:

Storyboards.
I love em’.
I make them all the time for my family.
Clients love them too.

Why?

So many clients tell me that they love a lot of pictures, but just don’t have the space in their home to showcase them all. Enter the “storyboard.” So many options…text, no text… names…dates…quotes…sayings…whatever you like!!
(I am suddenly thinking of T.I “baby you can have whatver you like…yeah…).

They can be like a photo, or professionally mounted for display, and let me tell you…they are so cool!! I made one for my son’s first birthday and it is definitely a treasured keepsake for all time.

So, I just had fun creating boards of some of my recent sessions. 🙂

If you are a recent client that wants a board now–contact me!!

Are you a future client that wants a board?
Well, let’s get started and book!!

Enjoy!

So this is my daughter’s birthday theme….”pink alligators” is how she described it to me one lazy spring day when I asked her for thoughts on turning 3.

This was all her idea…her pefect little head designed the whole thing…and at first I wasn’t quite convinced.

However, the more I thought about it, the more I loved it. It’s unique, fun, and who doesn’t love pink and green? It’s definitley an opportunity for me to get creative too–which I secretly like.

THIS is her birthday attire! We ordered this outfit last month, and I am in love. I had to get little bro in on the fun too, and I knew the beach would be a perfect backdrop for sibling pics. The party is at the end of the month.

It was a gorgeous night, and it actually got me thinking….next year I’ll have to have some sessions down here. The scenery is a blank canvas, begging for an amazing portrait. I love the way all colors pop on the sand, sky, and surf.

Enjoy. Back to reality next week. Tons of sessions….will have lots to share. Until then…my babies again.

Can’t wait! See ya then!

  • Aunt Nancy - Absolutely precious!! Watch out girls – that Jackson is going to be a heartbreaker!! Love Marlie’s Carmen Maranda pose! You’re right, Lindsay – the sand makes a great backdrop.

Welcome back to reality – it ain’t so bad. It’s no day on the beach, but all-in-all it’s not too bad. . . . .

    Love you all –
