Lindsay Parks Photography » welcome

And oh how he did (rock, that is)–at least the first time we met! He was rockin’ and rollin’ for 4 hours.

I know, it’s difficult to comprehend a tiny 6 day old staying awake for 4 straight hours with only one 5 minute catnap….but that was L. He actually amazed me with that, his eye contact, and the strength he had (especially in his legs). Needless to say, we got some sweet shots (nothing wrong with some pics of his beautiful big eyes)–but he wanted nothing to do with being in Daddy’s guitar case (ahem–read “ROCKER baby”), and that was a shot we had to get!

So…we’re up to day 10. Today L slept like a dream. He snuggled in my fruit crate, in Daddy’s guitar case (hooray–LOVE these shots so much), and in Mommy and Daddy’s hands. I am so thrilled we were able to do it all!

You won’t have a problem determining which shots are from which day. Eyes open = first try, eyes closed = second try.
This was the first time I have ever had to go back for seconds, but I didn’t mind at all because a.) L is actually my neighbor, and b.) that guitar case shot is priceless!!

Congrats…he’s beautiful!
How much do you love his “rockin'” guitar hat? Soooo cute!

So if you liked this shots, or you just have lots of love for “L,” share it after the pics in the form of a comment! 15 of those gets his Mom and Dad a free 5×7 print. C’mon….share the joy! THANKS! 🙂

This family is very near and dear to my heart! They are my neighbors. We rely on each other, help each other…all that good stuff! I always enjoy photographing the boys (they are so cute and photogenic), but this year it was surreal editing the pictures and seeing what little boys BOTH of them are. They really look like brothers….and they are so BIG! I adore the first one of them in the wagon. The light, their faces, the bokeh–delightful!

Mom and Dad got in some shots this time around….and even “Grammy” was up for a few pics with the boys. I love the one of her giggling with the boys. They have a really special relationship, and I was honored to capture that!

I had a little spill at this shoot. I tripped over my “brand new” wagon prop! The side even broke and I have the bruises to prove it! I was definitely more worried about my camera than myself–but it looks like the only casualty was “little red.” Hopefully the hubs can fix ‘er up a bit. Thanks for not laughing G-fam (and least not in front of me–whata clutz–ha ha)….and thanks for the “feel better” present tucked in my door! 🙂

Enjoy the sneak–it’s a big one.
Thanks for letting me make sure you never forget these days….

I love this family. This is the third time I have photographed the boys in a 18 month period, and as you know–repeat clients warm up my heart. They were actually one of my first “real” clients ever! Little B was only 6 months the first time we met up, and my he has changed (and a blondie at that–didn’t see that one coming)! Big brother C has pretty much never disappointed–always a pleasure, always adorable, and always photogenic!

This session was definitely an active one, but a lot of fun too (as are any almost 2 year old/3 year old sessions). The good news–I have my own red wagon now! I didn’t even have to search. My wonderful Pop Pop was cleaning out his shed and closing down his pool (sob!). He presented it to me and said if I didn’t take it he was giving it away! What luck–especially right after the red wagon newborn session this week.

C and B made the wagon look great–the sun was setting, the corn was in bloom, there were two cute boys….can’t go wrong with that. I love the pics from their session. Thanks for a great evening guys!

On a side note–C and B’s mommy is also working hard on a extremely important race that is in coming up in Baltimore County, Miles for Megan, supporting her neice. You can read all about Megan here. For more info on the actual race to benfit The Miracle for Megan Foundation please click here. You can even be a “Snooze Button Runner” and support a great cause from your bed that morning. 🙂 I will be there photographing the race on October 30th at Padonia Park Club! Please check it out…

And, as always, if you loved the pics of these two cuties…please comment after the post. 15 comments gets this wonderful family a free 5×7 print! THANKS! 🙂

Day 6….he sleeps…and sleeps…and sleeps. 😉  No really, this cutie pie slept pretty much the entire time I was there! Isn’t he so sweet?

Please note the adorable green hat, as I am in love.  I was so hoping that Mom would be suggesting an Etsy shop to me where she obtained such a sweet lil’ hat, but no such luck.  Yeah, it’s from Guatemala.  Little A’s Aunt picked it up for him before he was born (what an awesome keepsake), and the entire family swore up and down it would be too small for him–but it was A+ PERFECT (and I love it). I am so happy it was so perfect. If anyone has seen a hat like this anywhere, please email me.  Must. Have. One. 😉

Really, this is a post with props that aren’t mine!  The wagon belongs to the family as well.  Isn’t it great?  Fits two kiddos, perfect for afternoon strolls…and newborn photography. Love big sister proudly pulling her new little brother–isn’t her outfit adorable?

Finally, check out the last shot.  Mommy makes Jewelry! This is a piece she created for herself (A’s initial, big sis’s initial, and Mommy’s initial in the middle).  Isn’t that a great Mom’s necklace? She has an etsy shop that you can check out, Tu Vida. Beautiful stuff….and little A showcases this necklace very nicely!

You have a beautiful family guys! So great meeting you yesterday.
If you like A’s sneak peek, share a comment after his post. 15 comments gets his wonderful family a free 5×7 print! 🙂
THANKS!

The dapper dude was such a great time. He was happy, and funny, and just….fun to be around. You know, that contagious kind of laughter with those truly silly moments. Yep, that was him.

He was 8. Yes, 8. I am trying to do some quick math and statistics (probably not my strong suit being an “artist” and all…), but I am pretty sure he’s the oldest single session I have done. Sure, there have been older siblings along the way, but this guy was my most grown up “child.” And he was a boy at that. I mean, I HAVE a 4 year old girl. I AM A girl. I know the Disney princesses, I can sing pretty well and imitate all the songs in the movies. We talk about Barbies, and puppies, PINK, and nail polish…all the good girly stuff. “Big” boys, well…they are a diffent beast. I get nervous!

I mean, I knew Mr. ‘T’ wouldn’t want to chat about any of the above, but my son is just 2, and I was also pretty sure dump trucks and Handy Manny were old hat by now also. So I resorted to my good old teacher humor–and I scoured the internet for good ‘knock knock’ jokes, but really–he didn’t need it! He was just a good natured, polite, and fun kiddo.

Turns out I did okay, he gave me an A+ for the session! Phew. I guess I am still a little bit cool. I mean, come one–he was 8! You have to be cool to get an A, right?

We did have one very important thing in common, that ALL Marylanders should have in common–the RAVENS!
Here is paying tribute and showing his purple pride Flacco Style! …and we got our win, didn’t we? 😉

Enjoy, and if you like what you see (why wouldn’t you?) drop a comment for this handsome guy. 15 comments gets this fam a free 5×7 print. THANKS! 🙂
